What a decade,
Heartbreak and ecstasy,
Reflections upon a crack’d mirror echoing moth-bitten dreams.
Oh! To have discovered a death drop of lows,
Unspeakable darks and passionate depths.
Who would I be today?
Less an angel, of music, words, and seduction?
All these guardians, demons or no,
Statuesque like saints bearing down,
Beneath them,
My shattered soul,
Fragmented into a coven of voices.
New decade,
Broken but steadfast,
The year of the Phoenix,
And I shall rise,
Demonic but radiant.
Here, the dawn of the twenties,
The roaring twenties,
And I shall roar.
