I think nothing gives me quite the satisfaction as demonstrating something I've learned.
During the pandemic I developed a fast love of 3D design and 3D development in regards to gaming and metaverse tech and fresh off of the release of Unreal Engine 5, I dove in headfirst with absolutely no previous knowledge except perhaps building in The Sims 3. Armed with a wealth of YouTube videos I began.
Fast forward to the last month or so, and I demonstrate things I have learned (for example, building landscape materials from scratch and very basic modelling within the engine)
I have now been able to transfer this knowledge into the newly born Unreal Editor for Fortnite, granting the ability to build and publish levels within Fortnite for people to be able to experience and play for free.
I have now created three levels that are published to date, and am working on three more behind the scenes, two of which are quite ambitious.
I'd like to share some work in progress from one of the larger scale projects, and those with keen eyes might spot what I am recreating..
